On November 3rd, Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan met with the Winona State University College Democrats and other community members. Flanagan, who is running for U.S. Senate, shared her story of growing up poor in the Twin Cities and described how that background influenced her career. She asked audience members what gave them hope and connected those sources to her own experience.  She then asked the audience what issues they thought were worth fighting for and described how she would seek to address those issues.  WSU College Democrats hope to invite Angie Craig, the other DFLer running for U.S. Senate, to a similar event in the future.
