Help keep Winona affordable for families!  Come join the DFL Working Families Picnic

Thursday, September 11, from 4:30 – 7 pm, at the Winona Lake Park Jaycee Pavilion, there will be a Working Families Picnic sponsored by the WInona County DFL.  “The rent’s too high and grocery costs are out of sight,“ says County DFL Outreach Officer Joe Schlichenmeyer, “Let’s do something about it!  This free, fun gathering is a great opportunity to connect with fellow community members and listen to candidates share their plans to make Winona more affordable for families.”  Schlichenmeyer said a light meal will be provided, including Sloppy Joes, baked beans, vegan stuffed peppers, potato salad, lemonade, and desserts.  There will be games and activities for the kids.  The meal starts at 5:30, and the speakers kick off at 6:00.  Speakers include candidates for MN House Dan Wilson, Jack Hedin and Michael “Hutch” Hutchinson.  “Don’t miss out on this chance to have fun and build stronger community ties,”  Joe says. “RSVP so we can plan accordingly,” he adds.  Interested folks should email WDFLContact@gmail.com or use the Mobilize link: https://mobilize.us/s/pjjLwa
