Cannabis supporters don’t always get the political attention they deserve. But let’s ask ourselves a simple question. Which political party worked tirelessly to make cannabis legal, helping millions of Americans get the holistic medical relief they deserve? Answer: The Democrats. It’s true nationwide. It’s true right here in Minnesota. 

Here’s another question: Which political party should you vote for this November if you want to keep your “right to cannabis” safe? The answer again is Democrats.

Any short history of legalizing cannabis for medical reasons or recreational reasons would tell you that Democrats wrote, defended, and passed early laws on legalizing cannabis. In 2024, Democrats are still the party protecting cannabis for medical or recreational uses.

On election day bring a friend. Or bring three. And vote for the politician with a (D) to keep your cannabis free.
