Walz is gaining national attention for his down-to-earth tone and ability to connect with both Minnesotans and Americans at large. In an interview last week, he notably called out the GOP’s fanatical rhetoric and fixations, referring to them as “weird ideas.” From book bans to targeting adults without children, Governor Walz highlighted how these positions threaten our democracy, personal freedoms, and bodily autonomy. And in the week since, the “weird” label has taken hold on the national stage.
